Fr. Kohrman was ordained in 1992. Before becoming a priest Fr. Kohrman received a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University with a specialty in Acoustics. Since 1992 he has served 8 parishes, which have ranged from inner parishes to a rural parish in Culver, Indiana. He served as an adjunct faculty member at Ancilla college for courses in philosophy, Sacred Scripture and Algebra. He also was and adjunct faculty member for the University of St Francis in Fort Wayne and taught a class on the New Testament. He also has spent time in Hispanic Ministry. He is conversant in Spanish and currently the pastor of Holy Family Parish and St. John the Baptist Parish on the west side of South Bend. He is one of the diocesan consultors, and had served as Secretary on the Diocesan Board of Catholic Charities.
